MAGAZINE PRODUCTION
Experienced editorship and creative expertise

The world of magazine publishing has changed dramatically in 20 years. I owe much of my magazine-craft to three hectic years spent working for the irrepressible Stan Morse at Midsummer Books and Bright Star Publishing in Hammersmith. Here I learned to handle tight print deadlines, to nurture and cajole expert contributors, brief designers and select from the very best wildlife photographs — before ever putting my editor’s pen to paper. The result was two highly successful partworks, Wildlife of Britain and Animals Animals Animals. I went on to edit and design Mammals UK for the Mammals Trust UK and Wildlife World magazines for the People’s Trust for Endangered Species. In addition to editorship and project management of magazines and other small publications, I’m able to offer design, layout and typesetting services in Adobe InDesign.
